Florida is often known as the Golf Capital of the World thanks to Palm Beach County. The area has 160 courses- more than any other place in the state- and some of the nation's top PGA Tour members have settled down in Palm Beach because of this. Residents on Singer Island have many golf options not far away, but three high-end courses are very close by. Here's a little bit about them:

Lost Tree Club

The Lost Tree Club is located at the north end of the island and members can enjoy not only a gorgeous golf course, but also the tennis courts, spa, pool, fitness center and private beach. The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus championship course was designed to have a "classic island syle," as it sits on 150 acres of waterfront property. The club is along the

Singer Island is a well-preserved 4-mile stretch of beach that is coated in white sand and surrounded by clear blue water. It's lined with luxurious condos and hotels where residents delight in the amenities the island offers including boating, fishing, snorkeling and diving. Singer Island was just listed as number one on a Travel Pulse Magazine article entitled "25 Amazing Islands You Haven't Heard Of, Yet," for its awesome recreation activities.

The state of Florida passed a bill earlier this year that favors property owners and prohibits local government from taking private beach for recreational use. As of July 1st, beachfront property owners, condos and hotels will have truly private beach that the public can no longer use.

Singer Island condo owners will have more private beach space as the general public must set up at public beaches. The wet tide line is still public access but dry sand is only for owners.
