Golfing on the Waterfront

Posted by Amanda Hicks on Tuesday, July 24th, 2018 at 1:34pm.

Florida is often known as the Golf Capital of the World thanks to Palm Beach County. The area has 160 courses- more than any other place in the state- and some of the nation's top PGA Tour members have settled down in Palm Beach because of this. Residents on Singer Island have many golf options not far away, but three high-end courses are very close by. Here's a little bit about them:

Lost Tree Club

The Lost Tree Club is located at the north end of the island and members can enjoy not only a gorgeous golf course, but also the tennis courts, spa, pool, fitness center and private beach. The 18-hole Jack Nicklaus championship course was designed to have a "classic island syle," as it sits on 150 acres of waterfront property. The club is along the Atlantic Ocean which provides golfers with a nice and cool ocean breeze while playing. A 26,000 square-foot clubhouse offers incredible panoramic views and members and their families can get a bite to eat the club's beach house restaurant.

Seminole Golf Club

The Seminole Golf Club, just north of the Lost Tree Club, is one of the highest ranked courses in the country. It's been listen among the Top 100 Golf Courses in America since 1966 ranging between the #8 and #13 spot. It was also just ranked #4 of Golf.com's list of The World's Most Exclusive Golf Courses. The private club sits right on the Atlantic with Donald Ross-designed rolling contours and bunkers created to mimic the crest of ocean waves.

North Palm Beach Country Club

The North Palm Beach Country Club is home to one of only two Jack Nicklaus Signature Courses. It is one of the best public 18-hole courses in the country and very picturesque with lots of rolling greens and lakes throughout. It is playable for all skill levels, however from the back tees even the most advanced players may find a challenge. The waterfront course is currently closed as the club undergoes renovations. It'll reopen in December this year with new grass, an upgraded pool and a brand new 37,000 square-foot clubhouse.
