Santana Cigars on Singer Island is an artisan shop owned by father and son Fidel and Jesi Santana, 4th and 5th generation cigar rollers respectively. They opened the shop in 2009 after a life of rolling in the Dominican Republic. A master roller, Fidel has been in the industry since the age of 9. By 16, he was rolling premium cigars with Tabacarela del Norte and by 20 he was in with luxury cigar brand Davidoff. Now, at Sanatana Cigars, Fidel and Jesi use their skills to make their cigars in-house with dozens of blends, shapes, and sizes to choose from. While Santana's is not necessarily a "cigar bar" (because they don't serve liquor), they do have a small, simple, earthy interior that makes a great place to relax. Patrons also acclaim Fidel and Jesi for their friendliness and knowledge. They are always smiling faces and ready to help you pick a flavor and style based on your wants. They don't have any whiskey but they will be happy to sit down and have a cup of espresso and a smoke with you. The majority of the cigars they carry are all their own hand rolled pieces, but they also carry some popular brands like Montecristo, A Fuente, and Punch.
