John D. MacArthur Beach State Park stands out as an “island in time” by preserving the natural heritage of subtropical coastal habitat that once covered southeast Florida. It is the only state park in Palm Beach County, and an environmental treasure which has been preserved for present and future generations to come.

Located on Singer Island MacArthur is Palm Beach County’s premier state park. First established in 1989, this slice of South Florida’s natural coastline has been under preservation since. It consists of 438 acres with four different types of habitats, including strips of vegetation with tropical trees and plant species, a large estuary, beach dunes, and a Limestone Rock Reef.

Stand up paddle boarding or kayaking are some of the best ways to experience the state park, giving access and close-up views to all the different natural habitats, especially the estuary.
