Riviera Beach-Singer Island Triathlon

Posted by Amanda Hicks on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 at 7:00pm.

The Riviera Beach-Singer Island Triathlon/Duathlon is a race held every year to showcase our beautiful beaches, involve the community and encourage health and fitness.

The race will take place this Saturday, June 23rd, from 6:45-9:15 a.m. Watch the runners racing by the beaches and head over to the Ocean Mall for breakfast with them at the finish line.

The event has been uber-popular over the past few years and Riviera Beach-Singer Island is always expressed as favorite race location for the athletes. In the past the race has seen nearly 600 participants from New Jersey to Switzerland to right here at home.

The Triathlon/Duathlon begins at the beach where Tri participants do a quarter-mile swim while Duathlon participants do a 1 mile run. After that, a 10 mile bike ride brings racers through beautiful MacArthur Beach State Park and up the challenging Blue Heron Bridge. The event ends with a 3.1 mile run finishing at the Ocean Mall where an awards ceremony takes place.

Catch the event and grab a hearty brunch when it's over at Two Drunken Goats or Johnny Longboats in the Ocean Mall. Hop up early this Saturday and hit the beaches to enjoy the beauty of this incredible area at this year's Triathlon.
