MacArthur Park Among Most Serene Places in Northern Palm Beach County

The Palm Beach Post recently compiled a list of the most serene ourtdoor places in and around Palm Beach Gardens and on that list was Singer Island's MacArthur Park.

MacArthur Park came in at #2 on the list. Here is what the post had to say about the park:

"How could this not make #1 on the list, you ask? Blame it on the people who blast their music on the beach for all to hear instead of appreciating the sound of the crashing waves. Nonetheless, this is one of Palm Beach County’s best beaches. The park’s two nature trails are often overlooked — especially the Satinleaf Trail near the playground and pavilion. If the beach is too crowded for you, escape to Munyon Island with a rented kayak, or just paddle around the estuary."

MacArthur Park is located on the north end of Singer Island and constantly offers guided tours and nature walks, as well as a slew of other activities for all ages.

Joining MacArthur Park on the list where Frenchman's Forest Nature Area and Sandhill Crane Access Park, both located in Palm Beach Gardens and just a short distance from the northern enterance to Singer Island.

Frenchman's Forest is a 172 acre natural area located just off Prosperity Farms Road just north of PGA. It is home to flatwoods, a mangrove swamp, and depression marsh and has an observation deck that's a perfect spot for taking pictures. Sandhill Crane Access Park is located along the C-18 canal in Palm Beach Gardens. It is a popular place for bicyclists, kayakers, and people looking to do a little fishing. The park features a boat ramp as well as an observation tower that has views of the Loxahatchee Slough. It also has a 5.5-mile shell rock Bluegill Trail that connects with Riverbend Park in Jupiter.
