Loggerhead Park Hosts Biologist Beach Walks

Posted by Dan Hauser on Friday, August 19th, 2016 at 3:47pm.

With it being turtle hatching season, Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach is offering a Biologist Beach Walk program every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday through the end of September.

The program is an opportunity for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center educators to give the public insight into their research and conservation efforts. People on the walk will learn about the different species of seat turtles, the tricks to identifying turtle tracks, and sometimes even get to see a sea turtle hatch straight from the nest.

Admission is $12 and registration for the walks is online only.  Each walk is capped at 15 people and is open to everyone 8 years old or older. All participants must be able tp walk up to a half mile in soft sand. To register, visit www.marinelife.org/beachwalk.
