Kayaking on Christmas Eve

Posted by Amanda Hicks on Thursday, December 14th, 2017 at 11:47am.

This Christmas Eve, start your morning with a relaxing kayak paddle around the calm Intracoastal on the west side of Singer Island. Join a small group for a guided tour through the Lake Worth Lagoon and over to Munyon Island.

The Friends of MacArthur Beach State Park are hosting a tour led by a park ranger who will take you to discover the small Munyon Island that is always packed with birds. See songbirds, estuary birds, migratory birds, and much more including other creatures like turtles and crabs.

The tour and exploration will start at 9 a.m. and be 2 hours. The cost for a single-seater kayak is $25 and a 2-person kayak is $40. Don't forget your water shoes, binoculars if you have them, and a water bottle.

The park asks that you arrive half an hour early to pay and get ready. Space is limited so call for a reservation: 561-624-6952.
