Across the Intracoastal on the Florida mainland sits Lake Park Harbor Marina, where the famous Sunset Celebration takes place once a month.

Head back over the Blue Heron Bridge and take the five-minute trip north to the marina on the last Friday of every month for an evening of food, drinks, live music and art.

The Sunset Celebration takes place from 6-9 p.m. featuring live music entertainment from local bands, a cash bar (with happy hour prices the first hour) and a variety of food, arts and crafts from local vendors. Admission is free and so is parking.

The next celebration will be a Red, White & Blue Celebration on June 29th just before Independence Day. Wear patriotic colors and enjoy a free concert from Whisky Six.

Oceanside Beach Service is a business designed to make beach days as relaxing as possible. With two locations on Singer Island, you'll never have to lug around gear or pack the car with sand again. 

Right behind the Marriott Oceana Palms on central Singer Island and at the Marriott Resort & Spa just north, Oceanside Beach Service rents out cabanas, lounge chairs, umbrellas and more for an hourly or day-long rate.

A beach set up rental includes two lounge chairs under a cabana for $40 a day or $10 an hour. A single lounge chair or umbrella can be rented for $7 an hour or $20 a day. The company also sells beach apparel like hats and sunglasses and sun tan lotion, sun screen, etc.

The Singer Island Green & Artisan Market is the island's newest outdoor market with "a little bit of everything."

Every Friday at the Ocean Walk Mall, you can find vendors selling items like handmade jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, produce, art, health and wellness supplies and more.

The market is right along the mall strip, just steps from the beach. Have lunch at one of the Ocean Walk restaurants like Two Drunken Goats or Mulligan's. You can bring Fido too since everything's outdoors.

Check out the Singer Island Green & Artisan Market between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Fridays and see interesting and organic goods made by locals.

Southeast Florida is known its great game fish like Grouper, Mahi, Tuna and Sailfish. These types of fish put up a good fight and are super rewarding to reel in.

Singer Island has a couple of really good offshore fishing spots where the Amberjack, Snapper and Swordfish hit hard in the summertime. Here's a quick fishing report:

One spot to catch a nice size Amberjack is off Tiara Condos on the island. There are a few shipwrecks out there where the fish like to hangout in 200-300 feet of water. According to local fishermen, the Amberjack out there are caught with goggle eye or blue runner bait. They're hard fighters which makes for a fun reel. The fish are thick and mild in flavor and are known to be mislabeled as Yellowfin Tuna in Japanese

Today is World Turtle Day and in Palm Beach County we know how important it is to keep our beaches clean and safe for sea turtles, especially on Singer Island, a vital nesting site.

World Turtle Day was created in 2000 by the American Tortoise Rescue to bring attention to endangered turtles and tortoises and encourage people to take action to help the turtles thrive. 

Across the world, six out of seven sea turtle species are endangered due to humans. The turtles' biggest threats are becoming entangled in fishing gear or plastic litter as well as being poached for the illegal trade of eggs, meat and shells.

This Sunday, May 20th, is the CureNFwithJack Charity Fishing Tournament to create awareness of neurofibromatosis.

The tournament begins at 8 a.m. and is followed by an after-party  at Sailfish Marina on Singer Island at 3 p.m. A KDW tournament, anglers are trying to catch the biggest Kingfish, Dolphin, and Wahoo for a shot at 1st place and a $1,500 grand prize.

Ocean Reef Park on the north side of Singer Island has amenities for everyone. With tennis courts, walking trails, picnic areas, and diving sites off a long stretch of pet-friendly beach, the park is a favorite destination for many nearby residents. 

The park has a life guarded beach and free parking, which is rare for the area. There are six public tennis courts at the south end of the park and large grassy areas perfect for playing other outdoor games and having picnics. If you want to grill out at the beach, there are a few grills and covered areas with tables to have a gathering. You'll also find walking trails and benches throughout.

The Royal Palm Beach Seafood Festival is a weekend full of fun, food, music, art and so much more. There's fresh seafood, cold beers, nautical-themed craft vendors and even pirates and mermaids.

The festival is held at the 167-acre waterfront Commons Park on Saturday from 11a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m.- 6 p.m. Taste lobster, crab, squid, conch, shrimp and oysters cooked all kinds of ways!
